DGC's mission includes promoting safe, efficient and environment-friendly
installations to the benefit of consumers, gas companies
and other parties working with gas, and to find and promote
new forms of gas utilization.
DGC's experience in gas-fired domestic boilers goes right
back to the introduction of natural gas in Denmark in 1982.
Members of DGC's staff have participated in the development
of the Danish Safety Concept and educational activities. DGC
cooperates with gas companies, authorities, manufacturers
and gas installation firms in the ongoing work to improve
safety and energy efficiency in connection with gas firing
and to reduce environmental impacts from gas utilization.
DGC regularly tests new types of boilers on the Danish
market for gas companies and manufacturers, and participates
in international projects on methods of testing and analysis
relating to the boilers' energy utilization and emissions.
This and other project work form part of the basis for
European standardisation in this area, and DGC is always
up to date with official requirements and standards.
The laboratory is accredited for CE-testing with a view to
safety approval of boilers.
DGC is the operator for the Danish labelling scheme for domestic
gas boilers.
DGC also does work on other types of small gas appliances
such as cookers, tumble-dryers, gas stoves and gas lamps.
